What is Reiki?
The word "REIKI" means "mysterious atmosphere, miraculous sign". It comes from the Japanese words "rei" (universal) and "ki" (life energy).
Reiki can stagnate in the body where there has been physical injury or possibly emotional pain. In time, these energy blocks can cause illness. Reiki aims to help improve the flow of energy and removes blocks.
Reiki is alleged to aid relaxation, assist in the body's natural healing processes, and develop emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. It is also said to induce deep relaxation, help people cope with difficulties, relieve emotional stress, and improve overall wellbeing.

What can I expect from an in-house Reiki Session?
A complete Reiki session is offered to a fully clothed recipient who is lying on the treatment table.
Most commonly, Reiki is offered through light, either with my hands off the body or a non-invasive touch with my hands placed held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands should never be intrusive nor should there be any pressure.
Additional placements on the limbs can be done as needed (for example, if there is an injury or surgical scar).
What might I experience during a Reiki Session?
The experience of Reiki is subjective, changeable, and sometimes very subtle. Other common experiences are subtle pulsations where when my hands are placed on my clients and sometimes they experience waves of pulsations throughout their body.
People often comment how comforting they find the experience of Reiki to be. Some people fall into a deep, sleeplike meditative state. The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.
Reiki is cumulative and even people who don't notice much the first time usually have progressively deeper experiences if they continue. Besides the immediate experience of the Reiki, you may notice other changes that continue to unfold as the day goes on: perhaps stronger digestion, a sense of being more centered and poised and less reactive, and sleeping deeply that night.
